I have the same complaint. Here's what I think the issue is. You have 2 driver profiles and as you know, you change those on the dashboard. Each Driver Profile then has 2 seat settings that you set by pressing the numbers on the door. The numbers on the doors have nothing to do with Driver #1 and Driver #2 but only Seat Setting #! and Seat Setting #2 for each Driver Profile. In other words, if my wife was the last to drive the car and the Profile is set to her, pressing the numbers on the doors only moves the seat to either her first or her second seat seating. If she had both Seat Settings 1 and 2 set real close to the steering wheel, it makes it real hard for me to get in (unless I manually move the seat back using the buttons on the side of the seat) so that I can slide into the seat behind the steering wheel in order to start the vehicle and change the profile to mine!
We have currently set our seats on both of our profiles to correspond with each of us, ie, on her profile, the #1 is set to my position and the #2 is set to her position. We then went into my profile and it set it the same way. It seems to work to at least get the seat back for me so that I can get in, but I still have to change the driver profile and select my seat number under my profile.
It's a real pain. And no, the key fob is NOT tied to the profiles or the seat settings. That's a real disappointment.
